So, About That

It’s funny how some time away from something can give you perspective. In the time our computer was down, I was unable to blog, check my email, and read blogs in my blog reader. I was able to pin things on Pinterest, post to Facebook and Twitter, and share photos through Instagram (which is apparently something I can not do with my desktop). All of these were made possible through my hubby’s iPod Touch and fun, free apps. I came to realize how much I enjoy the connections the Internet brings into my daily life.

Connecting with friends and family that I would otherwise see a few times a year. Having communities of support to go to when I have a question or when learning something new.

The simple ability to answer my son’s many science related questions via our good friend The Google is enough to warrant the slightly ridiculous cost of high speed internet.

What does this have to do with you? Well, I had time to think about the things I do. I realized that I wanted my blog to be like the blogs I enjoy (except, you know, be mine).

I have some things I’m going to write about, probably in series form. I just wanted to let you know ahead of time. I’m aware that not everything I write about will pertain to you, but I do hope you stick around for those that do. I will be sharing gratuitous cute baby pics and THAT pertains to everyone, right? And when I say baby pics, I’m including these little monsters, too:

I’m also hoping to change the design of my blog around some to make it easier to navigate. This will be a work in progress because 1. I do not have the money to pay for a custom design and 2. the HTML coding I know is from over 5 years ago. In other words, it is completely useless. I have details sketched out on paper, it will just take a while for me to turn them into a purty blog design.

So that’s about it…for now.
