“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” – James 1:22-25 (emphasis mine)
I think it’s pretty clear that God doesn’t view sitting on our hind-quarters as a life well lived. Action is something I struggle with, to be honest. I’m the curl up on a couch with a good book, chat with friends for hours kind of girl. I’ve been working on this for a few years now. Which brings me to another reason I love One Word. I’ve found that it isn’t just a one year thing. I’m still finding ways that I’m changing, becoming more diligent, and doing new things. It is part of the process of God refining this miry clay of me. Enough of me.
Now I bring you today’s list of One Words. This list is a list of verbs – “a word used to describe an action, state, or occurrence“. Today’s list is kind of long.
